The Prix Galien internationally stands as the industry equivalent of the Nobel Prize.

Initially, the award originated in France, but thanks to the growing dedication of numerous companies to biomedical research and development, this esteemed prize is now granted in 15 different countries.

In Belgium and Luxembourg, Artsenkrant – Le journal du Médecin is the driving force behind the Prix Galien propelling innovation in the Belgian healthcare sector!

We warmly encourage companies, research teams, and innovators to submit their dossiers for this prestigious competition. The Prix Galien recognizes outstanding scientific and medical achievements through two distinguished awards evaluated by an independent jury of professors from all Belgian universities:

The best pharmaceutical agent, reserved for the most groundbreaking pharmaceutical innovation.
The best pharmacological research project, acknowledging the contributions of a researcher or a group of researchers in the realm of clinical studies and/or fundamental research.
